Karl Brandmeir holds a Bachelor of Science (Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management) from Washington State University, and a Master of Science (Hotel Administration) and Doctorate of Philosophy (Hotel Administration) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Dr. Brandmeir’s background began in the food and beverage industry working for brands including Sheraton, Doubletree and later in the Las Vegas casino Harrah’s. His publications have appeared in academic journals including Gaming Research & Review and Journal, Journal of Foodservice Business Research and Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research, and he has consulted extensively for large casino operators worldwide on integrated food and beverage solutions.
